what is the fastest transfer method between a pc and a storage device?
Q. What is the fastest medium to transfer data between a personal computer and a mass storage device?
(eg. Bluetooth, firewire usb, mini usb, infrared, wifi or other methods)

A. I guess it would depend on the amount to transfer, what you have, and the time you want to take.

The absolute fastest would be to take the storage device like a hard drive, plug it into the computer internally, set it up as a slave and then copy paste all the files.

You could hook both computers up to a network and transfer them which is fast and is a good way if you don't have another storage medium.

If the transfer is only a few megs or a couple gigs then you could use a USB thumb drive for a quick solution.

An external hard drive is the fastest of all the external methods and has the largest capable storage capacity. This usually involves a USB external hard drive. There are firewire ones but they are slightly slower.

Need help getting rid of a virus?
Q. Hi. My brother has a computer and it has a virus. It says that he illegaly downloaded movies or something. The computer is locked up with a screen that says it and you cannot even run in safe mode. You cannot access anything. I tried to transfer data from his computer to mine using a usb cable, but you need a special program on both computers, and I cannot install it on my brothers computer, because it is locked up. Without giving it to best buy or something, what should I do?
