How do you transfer word processing data from a desktop PC to an unwired netbook?

Q. Does anyone out there know how to transfer data from MS Works word processor desktop to an unwired Samsung netbook? I only want to use the Netbook for word processing. It does not have MS Works as a word processing app. so I want to copy MS Works from my Windows desktop to my new Netbook, along with a book I'm writing on my desktop. I'm a Newbee. Thanks so much. How do i transfer data from laptop?
Q. My motherboard died and I pulled out my hard drive on my laptop, How do I transfer data to my new lap top?

A. If you have a 2.5 inch laptop hard drive, a good solution would be to purchase an external hard drive enclosure ... they are pretty cheap, and then you will be able to use your hard drive just like a USB external drive ... you can pull data on to your new laptop ... additionally when your all done, you can then use it as a basic file backup solution.

Newegg sells some nice ones ...
