How do I transfer data directly between computers?

Q. I have a desktop, and laptop I wish to transfer data between. I can do this over the internet, but I know that a direct connection would be fastest. How do I do this?

Burning a disc might work, also using a jump drive, but I'd rather a transfer cable, that will work in ALL situations.

A. Try either a USB Data Transfer cable or
An Ethernet crossover cable.

How do you transfer data from a laptop to a desktop?
Q. I am using Windows XP as my operating system, plan to purchase a laptop, but Vista is now the current operating systems in new laptops. Can I transfer data using the usb 2 port between the computers. I could not locate any information on Windows XP help, I find their help usually is not much help at all.

A. Go to Worldstart.com Then click on the Software Store,(top left of the page). In this screen, on the lefthand side you'll see Cool Gadgets, click. Then on this screen scroll down until you see Direct LinQ USB 1x Data Transfer Cable, click. Costs 9.95,(believe free shipping), and it works great! We change computers about every six months, and this saves tremendous hours! Don't be fooled by the price, their quality is excellent!

How do you transfer data from a web form into a database?
Q. I want to transfer data that is imported on a website, for example a question of the day, into a database to check all the answers in order to choose a winner.

A. well u can just make another page for you only.. and only for you,, created by u, and designed by u,,

just like, admin page, then u can decide the winner by just clicking one button, after all calculated by your own formula, well if that the case, u dont even need clicking any button..!! does it great..? thanx programming then..

can you transfer data from a pc to a nintendo dsi?
Q. I have a lead that connects pc to the dsi but it only charges it, bought several other leads to try them but they wont transfer data either, bought the leads off ebay, they are supposed to transfer data. Am I doing something wrong?

A. Hey! There isn't a cable that works to plug in the Nintendo DSi to the PC, if you want to transfer data (like songs or pictures) you would have to use an SD card. You should look at nintendo.com for a sweet guide to using them.
